There is indeed a possibility that the Ireland Rugby Team will be able to win the Grand Slam of this year’s Six Nations Rugby competition.
In the match between the England Rugby team and the Irish Rugby Team that was scheduled to take place in Dublin on 1st March, Sunday, the former was defeated by a considerably large margin, the final score of the English team stood at 9 while that of their opponents was 19.
Before the match, both the sides looked equally strong but the match clearly was one sided. If the English team managed to defeat the Irish team then they would have secured for themselves a position in Grand Slam which hasn’t happened in twelve years.
The 29 years old Jonathan Sexton playing for the Irish team managed to score in four penalties and the 21 years old Robbie Henshaw of the Irish team scored a try in second half.
The Ireland Team was leading by a margin which can be indeed very tough for any team to overcome. But England failed to perform up to the mark in almost every aspect of the game. In the beginning of the Six Nations rugby, England did not have to face any defeat and they were very optimistic about this game also so this defeat should teach them a valuable lesson. Overall, the England Rugby team had the ball in their possession for a very little amount of time in that match. The 45 years old Stuart Lancaster is the current head coach of the team. Ireland has games ahead at Scotland and Wales.
This month will be crucial for the Irish team for becoming the Six Nations Rugby Champion. Ireland team has won Six Nations Rugby title the year before. It has been six years since they won Grand Slam last. After winning the Match against England, the Irish team is in an upbeat mood.
